- Official rules, permits or closures: we’re not the Forest Service. Contact the Clear Creek Ranger District at 970-295-6600 or VisitARP@usda.gov.
- Parking or traffic problems on the road: Jefferson County dispatch (non-emergency), 303-980-7300.
- Lost dog or animal issue: Jefferson County Sheriff Animal Control.
Email the Friends of Maxwell Falls
Email us at contact2026@wildirismarketing.com. We read every message, but we’re volunteers, so a reply can take a few days.
The things we most want to hear about:
- Trail conditions, like ice, mud, a downed tree, a washed-out crossing or high water. Tell us the date and where on the trail.
- Parking: what day it was, and what time the lot filled.
- Anything on this site that doesn’t match what you saw, or what an official source says.
- Dated photos of the falls or trailheads that you’re willing to share with credit.
- History. Anything about the Maxwell name, Brook Forest, or the early days of the trail.

Stay in the loop
The conditions page is the fastest way to know what’s going on at the falls. We update it whenever the Forest Service posts a change and after local trail visits. For updates and photos in between, follow the Friends of Maxwell Falls on Facebook.
